Fountainhead Investment Partners Expands Portfolio Management Team

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Andrew Hoover has been named Associate Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Fountainhead Investment Partners. In this role, Hoover will implement the firm’s investment strategy while expanding the firm’s research capabilities and developing new funds for investment partners. In addition, Hoover will support Fountainhead portfolio companies in various finance roles.

Hoover is also the CFO for AmnioLife Corporation, a Fountainhead portfolio company, where he was a founding member of the management team and instrumental in closing the Series A funding round for the company.

Hoover has more than nine years of experience in finance and investments. His expertise spans corporate finance, equity valuation, credit analysis, and venture debt underwriting. Prior to working with AmnioLife, he held positions at Square 1 Bank, RS Investments and Oak Value Capital Management.

Fountainhead Investment Partners is focusing its initial investments in areas of medical devices, surgical tools, multicellular biologics, regenerative technologies, medical knowledge management and 3D printing. Investments ranging from $250,000 to $1.5 million will be made in early-stage companies with the vision of connecting advancing technologies in order to solve some of medicines’ most complex issues.
